Citations

Citations drive the online bibliography feature developed in March 2021.

Title

A citation title can be styled as needed for books, articles, etc. We display whatever is written in the title.

Source

The source, too, can be styled as desired.

Abtract

We have a full editor for the Abstract.

Year

For date sorting, enter the year from your source here.

Languages

You can add one or many languages to a citation.

Citation Subjects

Citation subjects are managed in Tags > Citation Subjects — you can add one or many of them.

Citation Media Formats

Media formats are handled in a dropdown menu below citations: https://humanrights.uchicago.edu/admin/citation_media_formats

Regions

Citations use the Placements > Regions resource.

Authors

A citation can have one or many Authors associated to it. You don’t need to add the Author, first; you can search for the author, and if not found, click “Manage Authors.” Add the Citation Author, then close the popup window — you’ll be able to search and find the new author without refreshing the page.

Drag and drop Authors for the appropriate sort order.

Links

You can add one or many links for a citation: either to an external resource via URL, or by uploading a PDF or other asset file directly.
